Dummy content. This article is a placeholder that shows how a guide looks. The topic is deliberately not software testing. A real guide will replace it.

This sample guide explains how to water one house plant. It shows a summary, numbered steps, a warning and a note.

In short

  • Check the soil before you water.
  • Water slowly until a little runs out at the bottom.
  • Empty the saucer afterwards.

Steps

  1. Push a finger about two centimetres into the soil.
  2. If the soil feels dry, pour water slowly around the plant.
  3. Stop when water starts to run out of the bottom of the pot.
  4. Empty the saucer after ten minutes.

Do not water again while the soil is still wet. Too much water harms more house plants than too little.

Most house plants need less water in winter than in summer.
